If you are using Essential Register, use Advanced Register. If you are using
Money Essentials (MEss) upgrade to one of the serious editions.

Go to the bottom of category dropdown. You'll see all the possible
transfers there. Also the standard loan payment allows for allocation of
principal, interest, and transfers to property tax escrow. You just need to
change the names.

Default Transaction which is part expense, part transfer

I have a debit from an account associated with arranging a remortgage
on a house. Part of the sum debited is a payment of legal expenses, so
it belongs in the "mortgage expenses" category. Part of it is a sum
which was used to reduced the amount of the sum owed to the lender.
Any suggestions for how to deal with this? The loan reduction element
is effectively a transfer to the loan account, but the "split"
dialogue box only allows you to allocate a "withdrawal" to different
categories, it doesn't let you split an amount between a withdrawal
and a transfer.
