Default Re: Bank of America sign in problems..

Bank of America has different sites for which state you are in. It is clear
for CA, WA and ID that you need to add the account separately. The first
thing I would do is add the account using the information within the credit
card section. It is possible that the download is coming from a different
server within Bank of America. After they bought MBNA, I understood that
they moved all credit card accounts to that server. I know that they have
merged them on their web presence but perhaps not on the MS Money direct
connection.

I know that not everything on the BoA web is available directly from Money.
For example my Home Equity credit line is not.

1. Take back Money Essentials and get a better version. It doesn't do
much besides balance your checkbook.
2. You'll probably have to call the bank and ask them to enable the
credit card for Money access. I've had several institutions with that
requirement.

Default Bank of America sign in problems..

Hi All,
I'm using the trial version of Money Essentials v17.0.8.1415 and Vista Home
Premium. I have a Bank of America account for checking/savings and also a
Visa account. The Visa account is "tied too" Bank of America, such that I
can manage both accounts by logging in to the BofA website. My account
password is ... just kidding. Seriously though, there is an "online ID," a
"Password," and a "sitekey" that I have to match to a custom picture on the
site. When setting up the account in Money, Money asks for a "passcode" but
not a sitekey... This doesn't seem to be a problem because Money *is* able
to correctly automatically download my checking and savings data. However I
CAN"T get it to download the Visa credit card info. I located a setting on
the BofA site for choosing the "default download format." changing this to
the different settings, but this doesn't seem to help. THe Money help file
suggests there may be a *second passord* that is for financial software
access, but I can't find this on the BofA site...

Has anyone else run into this? Ideas? Thanks in advance.
