Any ideas? the customer statement is a payment recorded through the "Receive Payment" links on the invoice screen. Here's what I do: * Accept the check. * Create an invoice. * Add a dummy item to the invoice so it has a non-zero value. You can't save it otherwise. * Receive payment. Apply the entire amount so the client has a credit balance. * Purchase the job materials, marking them reimburseable. * Apply the materials to the invoice. * Delete the dummy entry. At this point, you start the usual process of applying charges and materials, building up entries until you're ready to present the invoice. Payments and credits never show up on the customer statement. It just lists old invoices, showing the current balance of each and the total. If the client wants to see what he's paid, I have to pull it out manually. Maybe someone else here knows a way to get credits onto the customer statement. -- Steve B. New Life Home Improvement |

The amount they owe on the statement is correctly reflecting the payment they made, I would just prefer it show the transaction of the check they wrote. Any ideas? |
