Default Re: Money Plus 2007 problems with balancing account.

There are three elements here.

1) Transfer the Money from the paycheck to an Investment Cash Account. (Say
for a $1,000 transfer, the Investment Cash Account balance goes up by
$1,000)

2) Buy the Investments in the Investment Account. (Say 100x $10 shares.)

3) (and most importantly in your scenario) Specify in the Investment Buy
transaction that the funds for the Buy comes from the Investment Cash
Account. (Say the $1,000 for the 100x $10 shares comes back out of the
Investment Cash Account. It's balance is now where it was before we
started.)

I'm not sure I understand your Budget issue. This is savings. It comes out
of the amount that Income exceeds Expense by. Alternately, if the account is
set to not be included in the budget, it should show as a Transfer Out of
Budget Accounts.

Default Money Plus 2007 problems with balancing account.

I buy mutual fund, bonds tax deferred through a company program, im set up to
automatically update position from my brokerage, which gives me the balance .
I started trying to itemize my wages, so i can track my contributions to my
brokerage account. The problem is it adds it to my balance, giving me a
improper balance. Id like to have the ability to keep track of my
contributions though money, but i cant figure out how not to get it to add to
the balance and still be able to use it in my budget. Any ideas??
