Default Re: Interactive Charts Don't Display with Money Plus SP1 on Vista

What are you talking about. What kind of argument is that? So Money Plus
users running on Vista this functionality use to work but if you install SP1
it now doesn’t because we made Money DEP compliant.

They broke existing functionality with their release of SP1. I talked to
Money support today and they acknowledge this is a bug with SP1 and they need
to fix this ASAP! For more info see my later post “Advanced/Deluxe Charting
with Money Plus, Money Plus SP1 on Vista”

Deluxe Charting IS part of the Toolbox
It has to do with Vista compatibility and the update to Money Plus that made
Money Plus fully DEP compliant.

In other words: Deluxe (Interactive) Charting will NOT work within Money
Plus on a Vista machine, which is why you are getting the "Basic" charts.

No. Like I said this was working. Now it isn't for some unknown reason.
Deluxe charting should work within Money Plus running on Vista. Also I do
have this same setup working on Windows XP at work.

Q10 refers to Deluxe Portfolio which is part of the toolbox not working
within Money Plus. This makes sense.

Maybe it wasn't explicit enough but it does imply that you can't use them
within Money.
"please use Internet Explore to install an USE the Investment Toolbox"

If you look a the System Requirements question
http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com...tions.aspx#Q10 it says
that the Toolbox is not supported with Money Plus.

The "interactive charting" is part of that Toolbox.

By the way the Basic Charting is pretty customizable, so it is pretty
interactive.

It doesn't say that.

The "I was trying to install the Deluxe tools (Investment Toolbox) within
Money Plus." link brings you to here:

"Why did I end up here? I was trying to use the Deluxe tools (Investment
Toolbox) within Money Plus.

To access the Deluxe versions of Charting, the Screener and the MSN Money
version of the Deluxe Portfolio Manager, please use Internet Explorer to
install and use the Investment Toolbox tools. Reference the following
Microsoft Knowledge Base article for more information:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/176841/en-us"

Which points you to a KB article that explains how to unintall/reinstall
Investment Toolbox.

This was working until just recently. I'm trying to remember when it stopped
working. I think after I installed SP1 and deleted all my IE 7 bowser cache
it stopped.

Did you see the answer to the "I was trying to install..." question and/or
the "system requirements" question?
i.e. It won't work in Money Plus, use IE.

Default Interactive Charts Don't Display with Money Plus SP1 on Vista

I can't get the the interactive charts to display in Money yet they display
fine when I use just IE 7?

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the toolbox and I've set my preference
to deluxe.

Within Money Plus, I just get the basic chart. When I select Download the
MSN Money Investment Toolbox again, I never get to the page where I confirm
that I see the graph? I always get redirected to
http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com...questions.aspx

This was working pre SP1. Why is this happening? I don't have this problem
on my XP machine.
