That was the problem. Thanks!

Didn't like IE8 yet anyway...

If you are using IE 8 beta 1, like JerzyMarian, then that's the problem.
Either revert back to IE 7 or try remove the Spending category chart from
Money's home page.

When following the instructions in your second link to add money executables
as DEP exceptions, I get the message "This program must run with DEP
enabled. You cannot turn off DEP for this program." for each of the
executables I try to add.

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352 DEP execute disable and
select "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services
only" in the first step 3.

One other thing: an info bubble pops up in the tray asking if I want more
info. When I click it, it opens up a help topic on "Data Execution
Prevention," which apparently is why Money was closed.

Default Re: Runtine Error in Money

I was just looking for help on the same topic - I get an error every time I
exit Money as well. After the program seems to close normally, I receive:

"Microsoft Money has stopped working: A problem cause the program to stop
working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a
solution is found."

My only option is to choose "close." My money file is saved and backed up,
so it's not a really dangerous problem, I guess, but very annoying.

I too am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit and IE8.
