I'm not aware of a way.
But you could back calculate the approximate original odom reading. ie.
subtract 26 * the number of trips from the current reading.
Alternatively, you could just create a separate business account (cash)
where the "dollar" amount are actually mileage.

Thanks Mark this worked great.

Is there a way to enter just the milege and not have to put in the odom
reading. I have just been tracking the total miles every day. But not the
odom readings. I know its 26 miles one way so on the days I go on this
customers site I know its 26 miles there and 26 miles back to the office.

Steve,

You can't change the system date to Jan 1, 2008. Because I installed Money
March 23rd 2008 and if you change the system date to a date before that then
Money hangs when you start it up. LOL Microsoft security

Try the following:
Click Business - Resources - Mileage Tracking
Under Common Tasks, click Update Vehicle List
Select the vehicle (if more than one is listed)
Click Edit
Change the Date First Used for Business

Default Entering Items from Earlier in the year

I am new to MS Money Plus Home and Business. I did not get the software until
March this year and I went back to Jan1 to enter all of my transactions for
the house and balanced with my banks and credit cards. But now that I am
current on that I am trying to setup my business accounts. When I try to put
in my mileage that I have been tracking in Excel since the first of the year.
Money says that I cant put it in before I started using the van.

How do I get around this so that I can get my mileage entered into Money for
this year?

Thanks,

LWRII
