(Unsecure, I know, but Windows is nowhere near as usable in normal mode without a good sudo- like system.) I did not have "Use SSL2" enabled, but did have SSL3 enabled. I may try again this weekend. "May" because I found the 2007 trial and got that to run with only one problem so far. (The "net worth over time" report doesn't show anything, but the "net worth over time less capital" works fine.) |

If they are in ProgramFiles, Vista will create an impermanent copy of the file for the user to use, unless the user explicitly right-clicks at launch and choose RunAsAdministrator that time. Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox is in IE Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced. Install Money from the Money Plus by browsing to the setup file. Right-click that file, and choose RunAsAdministrator. After install, right-click the Money icon and choose RunAsAdministrator to let potential updates happen. Reboot the computer. You should not have to run as Administrator normally. |

| I am unable to get the trial version on Money Plus to run on my computer. It's a Windows XP SP2, up to date. When I try to run it, the process starts, but the mem usage freezes at roughly 9 MB. It uses no CPU, launches, no windows, and just sits there, doing nothing. I've tried installing and running it with my anti-virus off. I've tried restarting the computer nothing works. I'm trying to upgrade from Money 2000. I've tried running Money Plus with Money 2000 uninstalled and still the program hangs. Any ideas? Or lacking that, anyone know where I can get trial versions of earlier versions of Money? |
