| If they never cleared, then voiding them or deleting them should make no difference to balancing the account. Reconciling them would mean that they had cleared, so that wouldn't work at all. I have from time to time had charges that never showed up because either the merchant or bank messed up. It happens about once a year, you can leave them alone, void them, or delete them without incident unless, of course, it does show up really late, which is always possible. That is why voiding is the first step as you can unvoid them later. I have been using Money for several years, and have been working on getting caught up with the balancing of all my accounts. I am nearly caught up and have had little to no problem balancing my accounts, but my running balance is off by quite a bit. Additionally, there are a number of transactions that for some reason or another never cleared (this is going back a few years even). I noticed if I mark them as reconciled or void, this screws me up when I go to balance the account because the starting balance is automatically adjusted. My questions are this: 1) Is there someway for me to get my account balance adjusted so my running total is correct without screwing up when I go to balance my accounts? 2) Is there a way to get rid of transactions that didn't clear again without screwing up when I go to balance my accounts? |
