| Cal, No offense meant. We have Money 2002 and Money 2006 available. If I bring up 2006, am on the Home page and go to "Customize content or layout", there two "home" items, "Home equity" and "Home expenses this year, but nothing with "inventory". | Hi, I have money 2001. My scanner, One Touch Visioneer, came with PaperPort software (version 7.02 Deluxe). This software installed a printer, actually two printers one for black and white and one for color. The following from it's help.... To print an item from another application to PaperPort: 1 Start the application from which you want to print, and open the file in that application. 2 From the application's File menu, choose the command for setting up the printer. Some applications have a Print Setup command (usually in the File menu); others use a Setup button in the Print dialog box. If you have questions, refer to the application's user's manual. The print setup dialog box appears. 3 In the printer list, select PaperPort or PaperPort Color. 4 Click the button to set ScanSoft as the current printer, such as Set as Default Printer. 5 Use the application's Print command to print the file. The file prints to the PaperPort Desktop, and a new item appears on the PaperPort Desktop. NOTE After you have finished printing to PaperPort, remember to reset the printer to your regular printer. End PaperPort Help...... Here is what I do to get Moneys home inventory into either Works Spreadsheet or Works Database. Works spreadsheet and database can handle tab separated or comma separated (csv) files. The inventory prints Tab separated. Open Money, go to inventory, print to PaperPort printer. PaperPort opens to it's desktop. Drag the file to Works Word processor icon, where it uses it's OCR (optical code reader) capability. Works Word processor opens. For some reason there is no tab separation between the words (Description and Type), place cursor between the words and push tab key. On the Edit menu choose Select All, then on the same menu choose Copy. Open either Works Spreadsheet or Database, then paste. That's it.............. | While using Money 2002, we created a home inventory. Unfortunately, later versions of Money do not have this feature. Although we are now using a current version of Money, we still have Money 2002 installed along with the home inventory in the backup file and would like to transfer the information to another application. Two possibilities are Microsoft Work Database and Spreadsheet. Both of these can read CSV files. Is there any way to export the home inventory information to a CSV file? If not, how might we transfer the home inventory information to some other application? Thanks in advance for your assistance. |
