| Hi, Yeah, I remember being able to do it, but memory fails, so maybe I dreamed it. It was sort of a General Ledger. You had the second one right. LOL. Thanks for the reply. Re. 1., I can't recall ever being able to see multiple accounts in a single register view. And I go back to M. v. 2. In M v1, 2, 3 there was MDI view that allowed, IIRC, multiple register windows to be opened at the same time. (This is classic MDI. One of the only apps that still supports it is Excel.) Now, if you are saying you want to see all transactions ordered by date for a single account in a single register, this is possible with the register view settings. Re. 2., I'm not sure what you mean by a "interest deposit in an investment", but I think you mean something like, say, a Reinvest Interest investment activity transaction. If so, yes, there is no way to schedule many types of events that you can enter. Investment activities are one whole group that you cannot do. In Money, one used to be able to see all transactions in all accounts ordered by date. You can still do this in a report but not in the transaction entry mode. Obviously, I don't really need it. I just know one used to be able to do it. (Of course, I have used every version of Money since 1.0 so it probably disappeared after Money 97, and I just didn't notice.) 2. I cannot find a way to do an automatic entry (in bill schedule) for an interest deposit in an investment. You can do it for an associated contributions account but not for the investment itself. |

I am keeping up with my points for my Credit Card rewards and my Checking Account reward points using the Frequent Flyer points feature. I don't actually have a FF program (I don't fly; thank you. I should rather ride in a cattle car). These award programs are so ubiquitous that Money should rename this feature. They should consider letting you download the statements. Of course, with the decrease in interest rates and the banking crisis, I expect a lot of banks will dump these gimmicks. |
