If you have the Trial Version of Microsoft Money installed at this time, proceed to #5. 2) Open up Internet Explorer and go to http://www.microsoft.com/money/freetrial_deluxe.mspx and click "Download the Free Trial". 3) Once the program is installed, open the Microsoft Money program and once you are prompted to install the update, do so. 4) Once the update is complete, open Microsoft Money and go to Help> About Microsoft Money, check the version number. The last four numbers should now be 1415. 5) Close Microsoft Money and go to "C:/Program Files/Microsoft Money Plus". Right-click on the Microsoft Money Plus folder and select 'copy', then go to your desktop and right-click on there and select 'paste'. 6) Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall the trial version of Microsoft Money. Reboot your system. Then install your CD version of the product. 7) Once the program is installed, go to "C:/Program Files" and delete the "Microsoft Money Plus" folder. Click and drag the Microsoft Money Plus folder from your desktop into the Program Files folder or copy and paste. Once the folder is copied to the Program Files folder, open Microsoft Money and check the version number again. 8) After you open Microsoft Money and are not being prompted for the update, delete the 'Microsoft Money Plus' folder from your desktop. | I've had the same problem both with Money 2007 Premium after the SP2 update and I reset all my account connections and then I couldn't get it to recognize it was connected to the internet when I signed in and then endlessly kept trying to unsuccessfully update. So I upgraded to Money Plus (2008), it initially updated and connected only that 1st time in Feb and never since. Just keeps endlessly trying to unsuccessfully update and tying up most of of the system resources on my PC. So you are not alone with this problem. | I have Money Plus Premium 08 (version 17.0.125.1415). I don't know if this version has SP1 or not. It did do an "update" a few weeks ago but the "About" dialog under help doesn't mention SP1. Anyhow, I have set Money to update my accounts from ML and a few other places, but the updates don't update any more. The last account transactions in Money are stuck at 03/16/08 (which may be around the time of the "update" that Money did). When I log on to ML I can see transactions since then but Money won't retrieve them. So, the question is, how do I get Money to update my accounts electronically? Do I have to set everything up all over again? I would like to know soon because this is going to be quite a task if I have to start doing things manually. Regards, Turner |
