This will require a change to the default on the radio buttons each time it occurs. Yet you definitely want to check what the cause of this is. Make a note of the StatementQuantity (what the download said your holding was) and the AccountQuantity (what Money thought your holding was). One of those two values differs from reality. You need to figure out which one differs, and figure out why. If you go to and investment and choose InvestmentActivites, you will get a list of transactions for that investment. Maybe you will have a bogus AddShares from previously accepting an adjustment. This can come from the broker having the statement position quantity a little out of phase with the transaction. e.g., you bought Google. The position data was updated but the transaction did not make it into this download somehow. Money offers to AddShares (Update my positions). You accept. Then later the Buy gets downloaded. So Money will offer to RemoveShares (Update my positions). Or the thing could be in the reverse order. Consider getting into the habit of changing the radio buttons each time the offer to "Update my positions" occurs. If the offer continues a day later, seek out the discrepancy and deal with it. |

| I'm using Money Plus Deluxe version 17. When I download statements from my brokers, On the 'Review Invesetment Activity' page, I'll get these types of entries that Money wants to insert: Remove Shares Google 100 $0.00 Remove Shares Microsoft 100 $0.00 The above doesn't make any sense. If I let Money do this, then holdings are removed from my portfolio. Sometimes I'll see something similar but it is adding shares instead. Rather than clicking Next to accept those entries, I can just go back to the account list page. The problem there is that valid entires will get back logged until I accept these bogus entires. Any one else experience this or know how to get around it? |
