I usually do this immediately after finishing a Money session, and it does work as far as assuring that I have the latest data on both PCs. |

| Hmm..... That will work, of course. If I need to do a restore, I will have to check both folders for my latest backup version, but this is not a normal occurrence in any case (hopefully). Since I also sync the MNY files between my to PC's, and use Norton Save and Restore once a week as a backup program, I should be in good shape no matter what. Still, in this day and age, enabling the use of UNC locations in the backup designation would be a good thing for the next version, especially in this day and age of home networking. | I sometimes run my Money Plus from a laptop, and sometimes from my desktop PC. I keep the file on a shared network drive, and similarly, I keep the backup file on a network drive. My problem is that when I perform the backup, I frequently get an invalid backup location message, because I have to change the drive letter depending on the location that I am working from. Will Money Plus recognize a UNC drive, i.e., \\location\sharename\filename? I treid and it did not work, but maybe I got the syntax wrong. If not, consider this as a reuqested for this enhancement in future releases. |
