| No, the systems math skills remain the same!!! That did nothing I can see anyway. The figures remain out precisely as: 388.75 + 500 = 100139 and there is another one somewhere I haven't bothered to seek out seeing as how I can't fix ths one. All my entries are 100% correct but the systems math is not. "jdhome" wrote: - quote - > I am trying to match my bank statement to my money plus register. I would start with File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair.> of entry but rather the systems adding/subtracting miscalculations!!! Don't > know how to correct the system. Anyone know how to fix??? I don't know about the mixed-currency thing. |

| I am using 2006 Canadian version. I have problems too but it is NOT an error of entry but rather the systems adding/subtracting miscalculations!!! Don't know how to correct the system. For example $300 + 500 = 1001 type thing. I also have problems in transferring funds where it insists that the currencies need to be the same when in fact they already are the same currencies and therefore will not allow me to make the entries. Drives me Wild. Anyone know how to fix??? "WOppenhe" wrote: - quote - > I am not sure that when I face this issue that I want an ammesty. | I am not sure that when I face this issue that I want an ammesty. Usually I have a recent statement that I know I have accounted for itiem by item properly, but there is an error sometime in the past that I just don't want to track down. There are still a lot of outstanding items in my register that are to be included on the next statement. I still want those to remain unreconciled, so I prefer to make a small adjustment in the original cash balance. Sure it is a fudge, but it is easier for a small discrepancy (you can define small for you) than looking back thru many statments for the actual error. Any suggesttions would be > greatly appreciated. all of the transactions marked as Reconciled. If you wish to start fresh and declare an account balanced, you can mark all entries balanced. Select to show only unreconciled transactions. Sort by date, and go to the oldest transaction. Hold down Cntl+Shift+M and let auto-repeat work thru the transactions until none are left showing. Do not change the starting date or starting balance. The starting balance is the sum of the transactions that have already been marked as reconciled. Then balance making the ending balance match the known balance. Choose the balance date to be the day after your last transaction. This is not the normal procedure. It starts you with an amnesty for former balancing. |

| I am trying to match my bank statement to my money plus register. Some time ago I marked some transactions as reconciled even though I wasn't trying to balance the account. This seams to have messed up my account as far as the register and balancing goes. I know that the checkbook and statement are correct. It's just that when I start balancing, the bank statment and the money software have diffenrent opening balances. Any suggesttions would be greatly appreciated. -- jdhome |
