| Cal, Help/About version is now 17.0.*.1415. As you suggested, I copied Sample.mny from the install folder to the Documents folder. I opened it, and Portfolio "...stops working" I then opened money "as administrator" (still with Sample.mny) and Portfolio opened without failiure. What else can I do to run normally? Thanks. | Cal, I put my *.mny and mbf files into my Documents folder as you suggested. Upon starting money (not "as admin") it couldn't find my file (in old location as expected) I pointed to Documents and all started ok until I went to Portfolio - still "...stopped working." Portfolio does work if I start "as administrator" as before. I also tried Mark's suggestion of selecting basic tools in msn money and I deleted the only 2 msncentral cookies I could find which were: C:\Users\Roger\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\C ookies roger[at]moneycentral.msn[1] C:\Users\Roger\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\C ookies\Low roger[at]moneycentral.msn[2] What else can I try? Thanks. | After the Money Plus update, I now will get a "money stopped working" whenever I select portfolio or any of the 1st 4 help items. This occurs when opening my money file or the sample file. If I right-click and select "run as administrator" when I start money, everything seems to work ok on both my money file and the sample file. How do I return to normal start without having to "run as adminstrator?" I am the only user of this Vista Ultimate PC. If this is hard to fix, I have the ability to easily reload my harddrive from a backup and return my computer to a pre-update status if I need to follow a prescribed update procedure. Both before and after the update, my money file is saved in the default Virtual Store location and the sample file is saved in the program files/money plus location if that makes a difference. Mark or Cal, what do you recommend to get me back to normal? Thank you for your time. |
