Money is then happy because the download which it can't live without is in the register and I'm happy(er) because everything balances and is neat. However, it's still pretty annoying, and what I don't understand is that Money will happily deal with some transfers and match them up with the downloaded transactions, it just takes apparently arbitrary dislikes to others. |

| Hi, I have the same problem as you.. the only way I can get it to work and stop downloading the transaction is to accept the duplicate transaction and then mark it as Void, it is annoying but I haven't found a way to manually match the transactions. I don't want to turn off the automatic transaction acceptance as the other reply suggests. Good luck! | Hi- It sounds like you have Money setup to automatically accept transactions from your bank. In order to match your transactions in your register with the downloaded bank transactions you must UNCHECK the selection to automate within Money. This is located in the online services setup area of Money Plus and a similar location in all other versions. Once you have done that you should be presented with a choice to accept, match or edit your transactions when they're downloaded. Hope this helps. | Hi, I have an annoying persistent problem. I have a monthly standing order set up at my bank to transfer some money from my current account to a deposit account. I replicated the transfer within money as a bill (which is just set up as a transfer) so that my register gets updated each month. However, when I hook up to my bank and download my recent transactions Money sees the payment into the deposit account as a separate deposit and I can't see a way to link it to the transfer which by now is already in the register. I've tried marking the existing transfer as reconciled, and deleting the downloaded deposit, but then it simply downloads the deposit afresh every time I connect to the bank. It seems like the only way to deal with it is to delete my own entry from the register and edit the downloaded transaction into a transfer. So how can I make Money realise that this deposit is in fact the transfer that it already knows about. |
