| I have the same problem with antivirus uninstalled. FYI, if your problem is like mine, you can demonstrate that it's not the AV by running money from another user profile on the same computer, which will work fine. I'm in the middle of going back and forth with tech support on this issue and will post the solution if they come up with one. -jpr "Bob Peel, MVP" <bob_peel[at]kiandra.freeserve.co.uk.INVALID> wrote in message news:ucn9RvNkIHA.4684[at]TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... - quote - > Cal is not suggesting that you throw the antivirus away, just that others > have found that uninstalling the AV; installing Money and then > reinstalling the antivirus has a beneficial effect! > -- > Regards > Bob Peel, > Microsoft MVP - Money > For UK tips & fixes see > http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. > I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for. > "Larry" <Larry[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:6017BA04-0D6B-4EFF-ACFC-FC84C5FD75EB[at]microsoft.com... > > The antivirus is not really a choice as it is required. > > > Are there any other suggestions on how to resolve the login problem? | Cal is not suggesting that you throw the antivirus away, just that others have found that uninstalling the AV; installing Money and then reinstalling the antivirus has a beneficial effect! -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for. | The antivirus is not really a choice as it is required. Are there any other suggestions on how to resolve the login problem? I like the program, but need to be able to get the internet updates. Please let me know what else could be casusing this. Larry "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, LG wrote: > > The fixes I refered to are in the link you provided below. No. However many people over the years have reported that disabling> Symantec AntiVirus. It has been running for the past couple of years with no > issues. are you aware of any changes? Norton was not sufficient to accomplish Money installs. Uninstalling Norton, installing Money, and then re-installing Norton let the Money install succeed. I have not seen the users of various other AV products post anything similar. So I did not ask if you used AVG, McAfee et al. I don't use that anti-virus myself. - quote - > Larry > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Larry wrote: > > > > Ok, I have seen a couple of threads on this issue, but have been unable to > > > resolve it on my PC. > > > > > When I try to sign in to Money Plus Delux on XP using my Windows Live ID I > > > am getting the message "The email address or passowrd is incorrect. | The fixes I refered to are in the link you provided below. We do use Symantec AntiVirus. It has been running for the past couple of years with no issues. are you aware of any changes? I don't know what those 12 fixes are that you refer to.> resolve it on my PC. > When I try to sign in to Money Plus Delux on XP using my Windows Live ID I > am getting the message "The email address or passowrd is incorrect. | Ok, I have seen a couple of threads on this issue, but have been unable to resolve it on my PC. When I try to sign in to Money Plus Delux on XP using my Windows Live ID I am getting the message "The email address or passowrd is incorrect. Please try again." If I sign in to hotmail or MSN everything is fine. Money is the only one having issues. I even went as far as starting a new fine and creating a new Windows Live ID to test it with no luck. I am sure it is a setting, but where do I start since I have gone thru most of the 12 fixes suggested. Larry |
