Are you using the retail CD as opposed to the downloaded
installation?

So you are running on Windows XP SP2 running from an Administrator
account.

Open Money by launching Sample.mny. In Help-> About, write down your
serial number in case you later seek to contact support. That is
your product ID.

Hi-

Not to hijack your thread, but I am having a similar issue. I was prompted
for the update, everything installed, but now Money will not open. I get the
cryptic message "Money has experienced a problem and cannot continue". I
cannot open the program at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes - the account I am using is an Admin. I checked and there were no
compatability settings setup for money.

Thanks - John

Are you running in an administrative account?

Turn off any "compatibility" setting you might have set up for
Money.

I have also just tried shutting down my firewall (zonealarm) and turning off
my virus protection while I performed the update - but again the results
were the same...

Sorry - forgot to mention that I have already rebooted several times and
each time I just wind up going through the same cycle I described in my
initial post.

Thanks,

John

Default Money Plus SP1 Update

I just upgraded to Money Plus today. When I open the application it tells
me that there is an update that needs to be applied. When I say OK - Money
Plus closes - the Microsoft Money Updater window appears - the files get
downloaded - the download progress goes to 100%. The screen then goes away
and then everything just hangs there. Nothing ever re-opens. When I try to
run Money Plus again - it tells me that an update is needed. When I say OK
a second time it tells me that the update process is already running. I
noticed that the daupdate.exe stays loaded in memory - so it appears to me
that something is getting hung.

Any suggestions on what to look at or try?

I am running on Windows XP SP2

Thanks,

John
