you automatically. You don't initiate the download. See first few messagesBy all reports here, and the long tradition of Money updates, it comes down to here: http://groups.google.com/group/micro...965df2fc2dabeb P.S: Most times updates come down to you when you do the usual update for 'Stock Quotes, News and Exchange Rates'. This one is different, it prompts you, and you have to exit the program to have it install competely. |

If you have an internet connection open when you start Money, it may attempt to connect on its own. Mine does because I use Windows Live authentication. If not, just do an update for prices. That will get the notice of the update. Ok the prompt for download/install.If you have automatic backup configured on exit, that may interfere with the automatic update. I temporarily disabled the automatic backup. After that, the install was fine. Mine required a reboot to connect to the internet. Said there was no connection, but there was. I'm using Vista Ultimate x64 with UAC on, if it matters. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| The download was "pushed" to me (and required to be done) when I started up Money Plus on 3/24. I think I read somewhere you might have needed to have restarted your PC... not sure.... there is another thread from 3/24 here in the forum called "Money Plus Update" that has more detail "VOLK" wrote: - quote - > I have Money Plus Deluxe. | I can't say if this was a SP1 issue or a Bank issue, but I think I figured out how to resolve my issue without having to manually reassign all the transactions after creating "new" accounts. I first deleted all the "new" accounts I set up per the suggestion of the MS Support team, and then I disabled online access for the accounts belonging to the bank where I was having the online access problem. I then setup on-line access, told Money I already had on-line access info and needed to match accounts and now all seems well..... I can now sleep much better tonight..... and to think I was just about to go out and purchase Quicken tomorrow ![]() Hope this helps someone else down the line.... | Tonight Money Plus prompted me for a required update to SP1. Since that point my Credit Union files will not sync (State Employees Credit Union (NC)). I receive a OFXHTTP500 error. Doing some searching here and elsewhere I found someone that received this error and it was due to a corrupted Money file. So, I've not tried to restore a number of older Money backups and they all give me this same error - I'm doubting my Money file was in error - I'm strongly suspecting this new SP 1 update. I called MS Support and they talked me through Exporting my existing (non-updating) accounts, setting up new Credit Union accounts and importing the old records back in. Now, the "new" accounts will update on-line - however I'm left with a huge mess to go back through my accounts and clean up all the transactions to point the accounts to the right places (change all transfers to the "working" account vs. the now non-working ones which I'll need to delete). HELP.... anyone have a better suggestion on how to do this? Anyone else experiencing similar problems now with SP1? |
