| ....so, that's why "feedback" channel has only limited use. But when you open tech support incident, it's totally different story. It costs Microsoft some dollars, so it has financial impact, and the line of influence goes in totally different area. It's one thing to decide whose wish is more important, and another thing to cut the expenses. That's why I think it may be more productive - though it's still only a guess. At least, it hardly could be _less_ productive :-) Vadim "Vadim Rapp" <nospam[at]sbcglobal.net> wrote in message news:%23%23SKnrmnIHA.2268[at]TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... - quote - > I have heard from Money group on this, and according to them, these issues > are of low priority to the users. | I have heard from Money group on this, and according to them, these issues are of low priority to the users. Users more want better reporting and exporting. I also have my own list of wishes that appear to me very important and useful; #1 being the ability to track exactly what period of service was paid by recurring transaction - since I often encounter the scenario of dispute with the payee about particular recurring payment paid for this month or next. Five years ago, there was even a class action case when AOL was deliberately charging customers twice per month, in the beginning and in the end, hoping that they would think that the 2nd payment was for the next month. But again, according to Money group, nobody wants this. They have their own user groups that they study, and those folks probably are the ones who want "best credit card offers", "essential" layout, etc. etc. Vadim "Art McClinton" <art.mcclinton[at]cox.net> wrote in message news:v5cLj.57713$097.27847[at]newsfe21.lga... - quote - > My experience is it is a waste of time. | My experience is it is a waste of time. I have lobbied Tech Support, asked a relative who is a Microsoft relative to lobby the group, and submitted wish list items all to no avail. I have bills that are due every 4 weeks and also every 3 weeks. I also have a printer that will not allow partial check sheets to be printed sideways. (I know you can print them right side up by claiming that 3 checks remain on the page). But I really do not think that there is any way to guarantee that MS Money group will look at an issue or request. The attitude I see makes me wonder how much longer that they will produce the product. | When the beta comes out is 18 months too late. The feature set for an update is defined that long before then. A better recurrence scheduling capability has been on everybody's wish list for a decade. Of all the feature requests that come up here, this one is the most consistent over time. I can only conclude that Microsoft just don't care. | :-) and how about one that probably thousands of users of Money are frustrated with. Social Security checks come out on one of 4 Wednesdays of the month. Schedule that, except manually. | Four separate "every three months" payments? Even that will only be approximate since three months have about 13 weeks so all four will shift out of phase by one week every cycle. You could also hand edit the date on 12 occurrences of a bi-weekly or monthly series to get your cash flow, etc, good for the next 3/4 of a year or so. I know that sucks, but the recurrence model in Money hasn't improved since about Money version 4 or so. This despite it being on most everyone's wish list of features they really would prefer. And despite a better one being right under their noses in Outlook. | Only thing I can think of is to make up three separate MONTHLY payments occurring at three different dates each month (like the 1st of each month, 8th, 15th........etc.).
