| Copy your .mny file to a USB stick and onto the new PC. See Cal Learner's instructions below which equally apply to M2007 but ignore the bit about the version check that is solely M2005. "Be sure that your Money and backup files are moved to a spot that you will have full privileges to, such as Documents/MyDocuments. If they are in ProgramFiles, Vista will create an impermanent copy of the file for the user to use, unless the user explicitly right-clicks at launch and choose RunAsAdministrator that time. Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox is in IE Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced. Install Money from the Money 2005 install disk by browsing to the setup.exe file. Right-click that file, and choose RunAsAdministrator. After install, right-click the Money icon and choose RunAsAdministrator to let updates happen. Do not have Money open an existing file at this point. Instead have Money open Sample.mny from the install folder, or have it create a new file without Passport/LiveID (select Decline during the process. Don't bother entering data-- click to start using Money before answering questions. Then reboot the computer. Check that the Money 2005 version is 14.0.*.1105. Only then open your existing Money 2005 file that is in your Documents folder. You should not have to run as Administrator for that." -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for.
