| Thanks, Cal, for taking the time to answer. I solved my problem by purchasing and downloading Microsoft Money Plus 2008. I didn't mind paying for the new program since I got it for $9.99 after the rebate. Everything functions now. I would try creating a new XP user with Administrator privilege.> I did right click the icon though and it brought up the Run as... > Administrator option you were speaking of. Start-> Settings-> ControlPanel-> UserAccounts-> CreateANewAccount Switch to that user and start Money with a new blank file (Decline Passport). Let Money download the updates as that user. The theory is that if the problem is an IE setting, you will get default settings for the new user. If you succeed this way, it would accomplish the download, and it would point toward the reason the other did not work. You can delete the new user later, and your regular IE settings will not have been changed. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, mikesgirl wrote: > > > > Anyone know how to spur the program to finish upgrading? | Thanks, Cal. I should have mentioned that this was Money 2006 and I have XP. I did right click the icon though and it brought up the Run as... Administrator option you were speaking of. However, although I am the ONLY user of this program and purchased it, there is a space for a password under Administrator that I have no idea about. I've tried every password that I have ever used so I don't know what's up with it. Anyway, I can't get in. | Anyone know how to spur the program to finish upgrading? Or to stop it? I cannot use the Reports feature because I get a message saying it's not available until the upgrade that is downloading in the background is finished. It appears to be stuck at 1% and will not finish...been like this for a few days. Any suggestions? Thanks! |
