It will trim the number of scheduled backups to your USB flash drive
to what you specify. It will work with USB flash drives with more
than 2 GB of free space. It fixed spinoffs. It added "Insights". It
allows Background banking without LiveID if your FI sites are all
not "third party".

That is kind of what I thought. I know Costco has a special deal on Money
but by the time you pay shipping etc. it is about the same price as Newegg.
I guess I'll take up the Microsoft direct download offer the next time
around. Just loaded 2008 and I haven't found anything that has changed from
2006. I'm sure there are $59.99 worth of improvements in there somewhere!
I look harder.

Some boxed versions have no rebate. Some do. I expect the
description and the box to indicate a rebate if that is a version
that includes rebate.

I looked at Newegg site, and it does not appear to include a rebate
on Microsoft Money. To contrast descriptions, the RAM on
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820134125 does
not show a rebate but
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148069
shows a rebate. The RAM turn out to be the same price after rebate.

Default Money 2008 Plus Premium Upgrade Rebate?

I have used Microsoft Money since it first came out and have usually had an
opportunity to get an upgrade rebate when I purchased a newer version. The
rebate form/coupon was in the retail box. This time around I bought the
Money 2008 Plus Premium retail package from Newegg to upgrade from Money
2006 Premium. There was no rebate form/coupon in the box. Am I missing
something or has Microsoft adopted the practice of download directly from
Microsoft or no upgrade rebate?
