| The File Download pop-up appears but no option to save to hard disk. The File Download box simply states that the it is Getting File information and it stays that way with no option to save to hard disk even after waiting for over 15 minutes for the pop-up to disappear. The thing I suggested would cause you to be able to keep a copy of> Money Plus Deluxe. the file to your hard drive (such as on your desktop) *before* Money even sees it. So if *that* does not work, the problem is something other than Money. "T" didn't work? "Instructions" did not work? What were your expectations that you were measuring against? To say "it didn't work" is pretty meaningless. You tried a download and you got the pop-up box. You clicked Save. It saved the file to the place you specified. Or maybe WHAT DID YOU DO, and WHAT HAPPENED? - quote - > I had this problem all of a sudden in September 2007 and > thought it was related to Money 2007 at the time. | I followed your instructions to the T and when it didn't work I reinstalled Money Plus Deluxe. I had this problem all of a sudden in September 2007 and thought it was related to Money 2007 at the time. I figured when I upgraded the problem would be fixed. But no such luck. Internet Explorer is updated automatically, so not sure where the problem is. Thanks, Rosie "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Rosie wrote: > > Carl, > > > Thank you for your suggestion, but this did not work. > What did you do, and what *did* happen? > Do you have reason to believe this is a Money problem, since you > should be able to save the file from the web site to your hard drive > before Money ever sees it. > > I even reinstalled > > Money Plus Deluxe and did the required update. What did you do, and what *did* happen?> Thank you for your suggestion, but this did not work. Do you have reason to believe this is a Money problem, since you should be able to save the file from the web site to your hard drive before Money ever sees it. - quote - > I even reinstalled > Money Plus Deluxe and did the required update. | Carl, Thank you for your suggestion, but this did not work. I even reinstalled Money Plus Deluxe and did the required update. Still no luck. Start-> Settings-> ControlPanel-> FolderOptions-> FileTypes Select OFX-- Open Financial Exchange File . Click Advanced. Check Confirm Open After Download to get the pop-up box that will allow you to save the file to disk. That will separate the Money from the not-Money things. Then from Money, you can File-> Import the statement file. You could stop now with the FileTypes section. However while at the FileTypes section, I suggest that you see that the "Actions" box contains "Open" in bold. If it is not bold, you can select Open as the default action by clicking the Set Default button. Click Edit. When you click edit, the application used to perform action should be similar to the following line: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2004\System\mnyimprt.exe" %1 WITH the quotes, and the %1 after the quote. The path will differ based on your installation. Modify for your setup. Application should be mnyimprt with the appropriate path. |

| Since September of 2007, I have not been able to download statements directly from one of my banks. I have tried the following solutions per Microsoft support and still problem persists: Method 1: Repair the Money file Method 2: Empty the Temporary Internet Files folder Method 3: Show Standardized Payee names Method 4: Delete the old statement and download a new copy of the statement Method 5: Verify the Microsoft Internet Explorer settings Method 7: Use standardized payee names Method 8: Remove and then reinstall Money When I am at the bank site, I click on OFX statement download and when I hit submit an Internet Explorer File Download box appears and it looks to be downloading a file indefinitely. Nothing happens and the file download box never disappears. Any ideas? Hope somebody can help. If not, I'm uninstalling and trying another program! |
