Yeah. It depends on the tradeoff of waiting for restore vs what it
takes to look up and enter the password. Some passwords are short or
memorable. Some are not.

It's set to update the accounts from the online sources, I'm not
questioning why it goes online at all, I'm questioning why it's going
online to verify my password when trying to enter my register. Which
is on my own computer.

Not needed when I can re-enter the same password later.

File-> Restore is a workaround.

Default Mini rant: Why does Money blank out my password when it can't contact the server?

I just tried to open Money '07, it's about 11:00pm on Saturday night.
All I wanted to do was enter some transactions into my register. What
happens?

I get an error message telling me that the password, which is current
and correct, and remembered by Money, is incorrect and proceeds to
erase it from its settings.

Clicking the link for why, I'm told that "the server might be down".

So why the *&*&^#%#*))_$[at]##[at]!#$ does it have to wipe my password if the
problem is only that "the server might be down"?

For that matter, why the *(&$*^#[at]$*&($%# does it even have to contact
the remote server if I'm using Money on my local machine with a local
database? It should only attempt to contact the server when I ask it
to do something that actually requires a connection, like download
statements, etc.

Furrfu.

No reply really needed, I just had to vent.
