The account isn't a "closed" account at the institution. It is an active
open account. It is a "new" account to the institution and previously not
tracked in Money, but it is also an account that I don't want to track in
this particular Money file. Now since Money automatically created the
account without my approval, I am trying to "delete" any trace of it within
this Money file. I tried "deleting" the account and I thought it was
removed from the Money database file, but I still see an account (usually a
"cash" account) with a zero balance with the portfolio manager. Is "delete"

What you can do is to mark the accounts closed. If it says you have
transactions to read from either of those, right-click where it says
you have TransactionsToRead, and Delete the statement. Then set the
AccountList to not show closed accounts.

I have Money Plus Deluxe and I have enabled downloading from my institution.
My investment institution has several accounts, but I am tracking only a
couple of them. Some new accounts then were added at the institution and
when I downloaded additional “new� accounts were created automatically with
transactions pending. I disabled the online download which terminated the
statements with the new account. The new account was then deleted and the
online download re-enabled and selected which accounts to download.

The problem remains that even though the account is deleted, under Portfolio
Manager the account is viewable and still there in the database. The account
is also still visible under reports when doing a investment position report.
I found that the positional report can be customized to get rid of the
account on the investment position report similar to that of a “closed�
account, but how does one get the account removed from the portfolio manager?
It has added a lot of unwanted info that I thought I had deleted from the
database and still remains. Evidently deleting the account does not really
delete the account from the database. ( I also found that this account
re-appears when getting the investment position information with the
Ultrasoft Moneylink to Excel.)

I have tried to delete the new account under other screens, but found that I
cannot delete the account without deleting the other accounts that are tied
to my institution.

I also tried repairing the database with no luck. In my opinion the
database is corrupted with unwanted information, but not corrupted in the
data sense as this repairing of the database would fix the problem.

Any help in removing this unwanted “deleted� account from the Money database
would be helpful.
