| The time limit exists from M2004 on. May also be in M2003, I just don't remember. So you would rather get M2008 (M+) than M2007 if you dont keep M2002. -- Peace, BobJ "Hawii Mahal" <hawa[at]mahal.net> wrote in message news:upwMsQ$dIHA.4172[at]TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... - quote - > "Marilyn & Bob" <Privacy[at]nospam.please> wrote > > on a third computer. | It is not an upgrade, but actually a new retail version that you are buying (it will however import/convert your M2002 data file, so your info remains intact). Therefore you can install it on any computer. Note that "any computer" means any two computers (one desktop, one laptop) at one time. Both the EULA and the registration process will not allow you to put Money on a third computer. Note also that the current version of Money has a two year lifetime for support and downloads. After two years, you will no longer be able to download investment data or bank or credit card transactions. Nor I think will you be able to reload Money on a new computer or new hard drive if the old one fails. -- Peace, BobJ "browncow" <browncow[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1854B62B-95B1-4C52-BF2C-E7E197621399[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I'm using Money 2002 OEM version. If you are in the US, the newest version is Money Plus (2008). You> Money will I have a "full" license, or will it still be OEM which can not be > transferred to another computer? would want to buy Deluxe. There is an activation system, and you can activate on two computers. If you try the Deluxe 60 day free trial, you can choose to have it not uninstall the previous version if you pay attention during install. You could run concurrently for a while if you choose. You can buy it by download, in which case you will want to keep the install file on separate media in case you want to install later, or purchase the extended download service. Or you can buy retail and get the disk with it. Either way you must activate within 60 (I think) days after install). Downloads are only good for two years thereafter. Then you would need to upgrade again. |
