No, you should not have to. It is unclear what you are running now--> run as myself, I am stuck in the loop. Do I need to Run As Administrator > everytime? Money Plus Business & Home, Money Plus Deluxe or Money 2007 Deluxe. In any case, make sure the *.mny file is not in your ProgramFiles; it would typically be in Documents. If running Money Plus Business & Home there may some other consideration. You might want to contact support. From Help-> About write down your serial number. | I've been experiencing the same issue. Run as Admin didn't work for me either. For me the download starts then I get prompted that "A software update is already in progress. Please try again when the update is complete." MS Money has authorization to by pass my firewall. "Bill Gauvey" wrote: - quote - > When I Run as Administrator, it does not ever prompt me. | When I Run as Administrator, it does not ever prompt me. So when I return to run as myself, I am stuck in the loop. Do I need to Run As Administrator everytime? Open Money once by right-clicking the launch icon and choosing> When I update it, it seems successful, and re-open my money file, I get > prompted again. | When I open my money file, I get prompted that there is an update availabel. When I update it, it seems successful, and re-open my money file, I get prompted again. This is a never ending loop. I am running Vista Ultimate, in November, I installed Money Plus Business & Home, and removed Money 2007 Deluxe. I want to go back to Deluxe, but it looks like my registry is hosed and every time I open Money, I get prompted to update. Should I disable the UAC and try it again? Or, should I remove money, and try to clean out my system before installing Deluxe again? TIA, Bill |
