Are you in the UK?> It's only this part of the Account Settings that is causing me problems. It > will not let me change any Liability accounts or Credit accounts. Here is how to change the interest rate in Money 2005 standard for a credit card: 1. Go to Account Settings by right-clicking the account on the account list. 2. If the Account Type drop-down is grayed out, disable online access for that account 3. If the credit card is enabled for online access, disable that. [M05]Banking-> AccountTools-> ManageOnlineServices. Click the credit card account, and choose StopUsingOnlineServices.... 4. Go to Account Settings by right-clicking the account on the account list. 5. Change the Account Type drop-down to Bank. If the Account Type drop-down is grayed out, you probably did not disable online access for that account. (changing to Bank also seemed to work, but gave a different setup) 6. Change the interest rate. You can enter the credit limit as a negative value for "minimum balance". 7. Change the Account Type drop-down to Credit Card. 8. Set up the credit card for online access again if you like. |

| I've tried clicing on each line, but nothing will light up or let me in. It's only this part of the Account Settings that is causing me problems. It will not let me change any Liability accounts or Credit accounts. | Yes, it does. Is the account enabled for downloads? Is it managed by Debt Reduction Planner? Now that I'm coned into where you are talking about, I think I understand your issue. I don't think I know a solution just yet. Are we talking an Essential Register account? I don't see a "Liability Details" anywhere I look in M+ and don't have a working M05 rig anywhere to cross check. In M+, I do see "Credit Information" and a button "Change Credit Details". For some nagging reason it sticks in my head that something changed in M05 and then again later in this area, and I don't remember what and, as noted, do not have an M05 installation to check it on. (Indeed, I sent M05 in for my money back. But that's another thread.) Maybe somebody else with an operable M05 can dive in here. Like maybe the UK guys who may still be on M05 20 years from now... | For Example: I was working on my credit line, I opened up the account and then went to "Change Account Settings". In this window I went down to "Liability Details", but I can't change anything here (Credit Limit, Interest Rate, etc.). Hope that helps. | I, for one, don't know what you mean by "Liability Details" in "Accounts". Please provide an example of what you want to do--what the state of what is, what you want to change that state to. | I recently upgraded to Money 2005. Now I can't change the Liability Details in my accounts. I've searched all the manuals & help topics and nothing seems to tell me what is going on. |
