In Money 2003, you may need to use the separate repair option. See

thanks for getting back so quick

ok I dont appear to have File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair
level 2
so I chose your next suggestion and left the interest rate blank -
that seemed to work - well at least let me set up the account
but of course the interest rate is incorrect - if I try to go and
alter it to the details of what my bank gave me - it says the parts
cannot work together

so I guess I will just live with it for now and try and alter it as I
go but of course once I start adding payments it's always a lot more
difficult to change

so if you have any other suggestions? otherwise I will go with this
for now

thanks
Dianne

Make a repaired version of your file with
File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair level 2
and try again.

Also, when you set up the mortgage, if you know the payment amount
and the term, enter those rather than the interest rate. Leave the
rate blank.

Default Trying to set up a mortgage account

hi there

I have been using money for years and generally have had no problem
setting up accounts.

I am using Money deluxe and business 2003

I receive an error when setting up this account - I receive a window
that gives me my loan information to confirm
when I do - the error reads this account was not created - there was
an error setting it up

the operation cannot be performed

and no further information?? what should I look for?

thanks
Dianne
