Second that. This program runs like molasses in January. It is
agonizingly slow every time you hit the home page, taking my computer
minutes to do what used to take seconds. There is simply no excuse for
this kind of horrible coding from Microsoft, but once you've installed
this hunk of junk, good luck going back. Even if you have the old
files (I did), the money plus install somehow corrupted my systems
(one XP, one Vista) so that money 2007 could not be properly
reinstalled. I suppose a clean windows install on both machines might
do the trick, but that's even more hassle. (And no, restore points
didn't do it either.)

I hope the eggheads at MSFT are reading these groups, because they
need to know just how badly they screwed up this product. If they
don't get this patched, I'll be moving to some other software package
and I won't bother looking back.

If you remove the spending tracker from the home page, then your file may be
more responsive again. That's the one big problem I know about (but I'm not
a US user, so don't experience some of the others).

I disagree with the concept of 'upgrading' to Money plus. There are several
known issues with this version and no real fix for them. For example, every
time I open Money Plus, my machine boggs down and the program stops
responding. Oh, how I wish I knew of these issues prior to wasting my money
on the program!
I contacted Microsoft support and after multiple e-mails with their
'technical' expert, the ultimate response was 'with your permission, we are
closing this ticket as unresolved'. I am absolutely livid with this type of
support complacency. I have been using Money since 1999 and up until this
version, have been extremely satisfied. I am disappointed that I now have a
version that is useless to me. Additionally, once you upgrade to the Money
Plus, you can not 'downgrade' to a previous version - you are stuck with the
headaches and frustrations of a failed software package.

What do we do next, Bob?

Yes, you will get some nags about "lost functionality" but you can ignore
those.

Default Money Home & Business 2007 to Money 2008 Plus?

Can I 'upgrade' from Money Home & Business 2007 to Money 2008 Plus/premium?

I.E. can I drop the business parts without a problem?

Thanks!

John
