| Hi Cal, It seems to have worked. However one other problem has now come up. everything appears to be working ok except when I goto the Budget Tab. The application just freezes and increases to 100% on one of my CPU's Altonius "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Altonius wrote: > > Yes Cal, > > > You've got the correct version mentioned. below 14.0.100.1005 > > > Yes, I'm running XP SP2 > > > Yes, it has been running fine for years now before the problem started. In IE, start with [IE6]Tools-> Options-> Security-> LocalIntranet-> DefaultLevel [IE7]Tools-> InternetOptions-> Security-> LocalIntranet-> DefaultLevel which may be sufficient. If that does not let you updated, and if you are using XP, I would try creating a new user with Administrator privilege. Switch to that user and start Money with a new blank file with no LiveID. You may also be able to copy your *.mny file to a USB flash drive and then try to use that file as the new user. The FAT32 flash drive does not have file ownership. The theory is that if the problem is an IE setting, you will get default settings for the new user. If you succeed this way, it would accomplish the download, and it would point toward the reason the other did not work. You can delete the new user later, and your regular IE settings will not have been changed. - quote - > Alton > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Altonius wrote: > > > > sorry, i should clarify, when I launch Mondey it loads to the home screen, > > > and then freezes msmoney.exe, if i check task manager it is at 100% of one of > > > my CPU's. > > > > > If I click on any link i can generally get into it, it's normally only after > > > approx 15-20 seconds that it freezes. > > > > > I have run a level 1 and level 2 repair. > > > Check that the version from Help-> About... is 14.0.*.1105 > > > Running XP? > > > Were things working properly for quite a while before the problem > > started? > > > > > > > "Altonius" wrote: > > > > > > I have a problem whereby if my computer is attached to my network (and as > > > > such the internet) and I launch Money, it loads and then freezes. > > > > > > > If I have it disconnected it runs fine. > > > > > > > Any Ideas, I think it's something to do with the Internet updates.\ > > > > > > > Altonius > > > > PS - I am running the Australian edition. > |

I was using it on Friday, then Saturday it just stopped. I have tried uninstalling, then reinstalling and applying the Money upgrades. With no luck though. | sorry, i should clarify, when I launch Mondey it loads to the home screen, and then freezes msmoney.exe, if i check task manager it is at 100% of one of my CPU's. If I click on any link i can generally get into it, it's normally only after approx 15-20 seconds that it freezes. I have run a level 1 and level 2 repair.
