I have M2003 standard, and since I don't use quotes or "roaming" it works> the expiration baloney and the highly negative changes to the program. fine. I still download my checking account statements from Bank of America. I hope MS doesn't break anything in it. |

| I use M2002. After testing I refused to buy M2003 or higher due to the expiration baloney and the highly negative changes to the program. M2002 is near perfect and it has no expiration language in the EULA. But I can no longer use direct downloads from any of my banks and I have tried plenty of them. Citibank is a typical example. If you check the MS bank support webpage Citibank's info is as follows: ------------------------------------------------ Statements Direct Services* are the fastest, easiest way to connect with your financial institution and have your statements automatically downloaded into Money. * This service is provided by a third party provider, not your financial institution. It is only available if you have Microsoft Money 2005 or later. You will need to use Microsoft .NET Passport in order to access your account information. Your financial institution may offer an alternative means of downloading statements and transactions from their web site into Microsoft Money 2004 and earlier. Please contact them for more information." -------------------------------------------------- My direct downloads stopped working about a year or so ago so I switched to manual downloads. Simply go to Citi's webpage and click Download to Money. An Active Statement downloads and automatically imports into Money. Works fine and is almost as easy as direct downloads. I do not miss direct downloads at all and I will use M2002 forever. It is possible that some banks will attempt to discontinue support for manual downloads to old versions of Money and Quicken but I doubt it - customers will complain and the banks will back off. | Beware that MS may post a message that after due notice they are no longer supporting version x. So if "by accident" they break a feature that version x relies on they don't have to fix it. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | I just read the EULA for Money 2003, which is what I use. Except for quotes, which I don't use, and Roaming features, which I have no idea what those are, Money 2003 apparently will never expire. So I should be able to download my bank statements and credit card statements into Money 2003 forever. That's the legal agreement that Microsoft and I agreed to when I installed the software. There is nothing in the EULA about expiration except for the following: • Expiration of Certain Features. You will not be able to exercise your rights under this EULA to the following features of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT after expiration of the respective time periods specified: • Money 2003 Deluxe/Business Online Quotes and Roaming features expire the earlier of three (3) years after your activation of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or September 1, 2006. • Money 2003 Standard Online Quotes and Roaming features expire on the earlier of one (1) year after your activation of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or September 1, 2004.
