The file may actually *be* corrupt (for some particular definition of
corrupt).

I'd start by looking at the security of the file:
* Is it read-only?
* Is it in a folder where you have complete access to the entire path?
* Is it in a problem-prone place, like a USB thumb-drive, on a CD, or
on a rewriteable CD or DVD?
You get the idea.

Copy the file to the new PC, and put it in the "My Docments" area on the
C: drive. Then copy that same file back to the original PC with a new
name. See if you can use it on either PC.

Programmers are notoriosly lazy about creating error messages that are
usable by real human beings. "Corrupt" might have been all he needed
while he was developing the program, but he never thought it through
from the user's point of view.

As far as I can tell, no upgrades were performed. I checked the
version of the program, and they are the same.
The biggest difference is, the new machine has IE7, while the old
machine still has IE6.

Default Money Reinstall

Having some issues using a MNY file on a new install. We replaced a
workstation that had MS Money 2002 Standard edition. Installed MS
Money 2002 on the new pc, but when opening up the MNY file, it says
it's corrupt. Went back to the old pc, and the file opens fine. As far
as I can tell the versions are the same.
I created a new MNY file on the old machine, saved it. And was able
to open it fine on the new machine.

Any suggetions?
