| Starting out with too many categories is not necessarily a bad thing. Now that you have some data you can look at your expenses for each category. This allows you to see which categories should be combined because the amounts are too small to be worth tracking. As the other responses have explained, it's easy to delete categories and move the associated transactions to a different existing category or to a new category. -- Bill Becker "PJ" wrote: - quote - > My husband set-up Money and has been using it for 2 years. If you don't already have a Categories Shortcut, I suggest you add> many categories and sub-categories. He set-up categories for every little > thing instead of being more general. Can I just start-over with new > categories? I am trying to determine what we spend where and as of right now > there are too many categories to figure that out. TIA. one. Select a Category, and then, at the bottom, click Move (or Delete). Money will ask what category to move the existing transactions to. |

| My husband set-up Money and has been using it for 2 years. He set-up way too many categories and sub-categories. He set-up categories for every little thing instead of being more general. Can I just start-over with new categories? I am trying to determine what we spend where and as of right now there are too many categories to figure that out. TIA. Pam |
