I am glad to hear it.

That is the default I think, but if you have Money set to ask and
always select to not back up, then no. So be glad you let it back up
recently.

In M+: Tools-> Settings-> BackupSettings
I suggest checking
x Automatically backup my Money file every time I close Money
Save in [a place on your hard drive ]
x Ask me before backing up each time*
x Compress Backup Files
Keep only the _20_most recent backup files [adjust to taste]

x Perform scheduled backups every _14_ days
Save in [a USB flash drive location]
x Ask me before backing up each time*
x Compress Backup Files
Keep only the _2_most recent backup files [adjust to taste,

You may also want to periodically, perhaps once per month or so,
copy your latest backup (uniquely named by Money) to a CDR.

I strongly suggest use of a USB Flash drive rather than floppies.
They are bigger, so you don't have to swap media to back up. Plus
they are much more reliable (but not failure-proof).

Great, thanks. That worked - I was worried about the backups because I always
close the application and click on the "Don't backup" button to save time.
Does this mean, the mbfs are created automatically every time?

You should have *.mbf files that are backups. Four is the default.
The date and time are incorporated in the name. Locate the newest or
next-to-newest. Open Money by double-clicking the file from your
Search result or in Windows Explorer.

Default Unable to open file

I have Money 2007 - has been working fine until today. When I open I get a
message "Microsoft Money has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience". When I use "Click here" for more details -
I get module name: Unknown.

I have tried both types of repairs, I unistalled and reinstalled the
software; rebooted the machine a few times - all to no avail. I'm extremely
frustrated. Please help me...
