So was your error message "Setup was unable to install some of the> still get the same error. It installed onto my other computer just fine, but > not my laptop which is where I need it. I am assuming it > is missing some DLL files. components needed to run Money. Try installing Money again."? I would try creating a new XP user with Administrator privilege. Start-> Settings-> ControlPanel-> UserAccounts-> CreateANewAccount Switch to that user and install Money as that user. The theory is that if the problem is an IE setting, you will get default settings for the new user. If you succeed this way, it would accomplish the download, and it would point toward the reason the other did not work. You can delete the new user later, and your regular IE settings will not have been changed. If that does not do it, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827814 - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, sherryw wrote: > > > > When downloading Money Plus Deluxe from web, it says at the top Download > > > Complete, but in the middle it states, Unable to set up completely due to > > > some missing files. | I even went out and bought the CD since I couldn't get anyone to help. I still get the same error. It installed onto my other computer just fine, but not my laptop which is where I need it. The error I receive states that Setup unable to complete, because some components are missing. Do I need to reinstall Windows XP to find what components are missing. I am assuming it is missing some DLL files. Do you have the email confirming your order? If so, there should be contact info in that. |

| When downloading Money Plus Deluxe from web, it says at the top Download Complete, but in the middle it states, Unable to set up completely due to some missing files. It doesn't provide anything else, I have redownloaded from web site several times and it is saved on my harddrive. I removed MM 2004 before starting, because at first it stated that it needed to be removed. Now, I am at a loss and of course, none of the ways to contact someone are available. |
