As a next step, I'd log in to the account at the bank's web site and
download the .OFX or .QIF file manually. Then I'd edit the file with a
text editor and see if I could find a date and balance in there. If they
matches the $48K number, then it's a problem with the bank -- they're
creating a flawed file. Hurry! Go in and withdraw it! :-)

If you find a date and balance that are reasonable, it's more likely the
problem is in your data file, but it's not proof. You're looking at a
different file than what's being downloaded automatically. If that's the
case, perhaps one of the MVPs who frequent here know a way to examine
the automatic file.

Of course, you can always jump right to the last step and recreate the
account.

Clear the cache in Internet Explorer, run a minor repair, and run a
major repair, checking after each step to see if the problem went away.

Keep track of all the messages you get, both success and failure. Write
them down or make screen shots.

If none of those work, report back here with the messages for more help.

After using Money 2000 for several years, I have recently upgraded to Money
Plus Deluxe. My old Money files were updated and most all things are working
fine. However, I am experiencing a problem with the info under the word
Downloaded: on the Account Register.

In the Account List, the Last Updated date is correct as are the Bank
Balance and the Adj. Balance. However, when I view the Account Register for
my Checking Account, the Downloaded: information always shows the same
"wrong" date, time and Balance. It is a date of 5/4/2001 at 12:00AM, and a
Balance of $48,051.67. This is not even close to being right. The account
balance in the register is correct, but it is not being reflected in the
info under Downloaded. No matter how many times I download new Active
Statement data to this account, the Downloaded: info remains the same, and
wrong.

My Savings account has been downloaded from the same bank, and the
Downloaded: info in that Account Register is always correct.

Has anyone found a solution to fixing the "wrong" data being shown under the
word Downloaded: in the Account Register? Thank you...
