You can put 2 tax categories as subcategories for 2 different categories. Using Reports, though, you can limit a report to the 2 subcategories and get a total of your tax spending. |

| Re: Category Groups Category Groups are of very limited utility, so I wouldn't sweat it. What you suggest re. mixing category groups at the subcategory level will work just fine. Many of us would put Property Taxes in a Taxes category and Homeowners Insurance in an Insurance category, however. | Category Groups MS Money 2008 Plus Premium I'm in the process of creating many categories and sub-categories for all of my income and expenses and I'm trying to decide which "Category Group" to associate with each of these categories and sub-categories. What consequences are there if I associate a category and it's sub- category with two different category groups?
