Default Re: restoring backup

Also had the same problem. I bought Microsoft Money Plus Premium and it
restored my backup from Money 2004 just fine. My problem now is that it
wants me to burn a CD.

I just had this same problem, and copied the .mny file to the \documents
folder and clicked on it and it installed fine
with all my data. When I used the backup file I had a message that all the
files were corrupt. Hope this helps.

Try dragging the file you want to restore--what extension is it? is it
really a backup file or just a data file? you are using Restore not Import,
right?--to your desktop and going from there.

There would be a lot more diagnostic information we'd need to cover to
understand your problem. For instance, is it saying path name is invalid for
the file it's trying to restore from or the one it is trying to restore to?
On Vista, for instance, c:\documents and settings\[your user name]\my
documents has moved...

Default restoring backup

I have loaded money standard 2004 onto my vista laptop but am unable to make
money recognise the back-up file (on a usb memory stick) I get an error
message stating the path name is invalid.

I have tried installing updates in the hope that would work as I noted in
other threads but with no luck.

any assistance greatly apprecieated
