| Turns out it has to do with a corrupt data file. As soon as I ran a Quick Repair on the data file, the scroll bar started to work again. How corrupt data affects a scroll bar, I don't know, but it works now. - Merg -- Today's problems don't worry me, I haven't solved yesterday's yet. They obviously long ago decided that Money as a source of income for them is all about displaying advertisements and directing people to outside extra-cost functionality. They ignore problems about which current users complain bitterly year after year, but they keep adding new features that are only marginally useful or are totally useless -- but they get to put "New and Improved!" on the box. Granted, the price of Money is so low that they can't really be making anything from the sales -- thus the need for ad revenue -- but I'd be more inclined to buy an upgrade every year if they fixed old problems. It's the same as trying to get people to upgrade to Vista. They want $200 or more for Vista, but they didn't put in $200 worth of new features, so I'm sticking with XP. I'll probably be forced to upgrade just so I can be more effective in supporting my computer customers, but I'll put it off as long as possible. <rant off -- Steve B. New Life Home Improvement |

| How is it that MS cannot fix this bug? I have reported it to them since M$ 2004. On any category in which the number of subcategory items is more than one page (13 items, I believe) the scroll bar is disabled. You can select the subcategory by using the scroll wheel on your mouse or just typing in the subcategory. Try it. Create a category and then enter in 15 subcategories. Go into an account and select the category for a transaction. Click on the dropdown for the subcategory and dropdown list shown will have a disabled scroll bar even though all the subcategories are not displayed. - Merg -- Today's problems don't worry me, I haven't solved yesterday's yet. |
