Default Re: Remove All Bill Data - Standard practice?

So, if using the delete all bills repair resolves it but the hang comes back
after a while can you provide some additional information about what might
be occuring:

- How many bills are you reentering?
- Any unusual type of reoccoring bill/deposit that you're entering?
- Any APays models that either have to be recreated or are downloaded from
your Bill Payment service?
- Any other unusual behavior in Money (or outside): crash, using a restored
Money backup, system restore, etc

Nope. And unless deleting the bills would fix it, that's not what's
happening here.

No that's not huge by any stretch.
But could there be some other account (for example a Closed account) that is
building up downloaded transactions?

I'm pretty much on top of my downloaded transactions - unless 20 is a huge
backlog.

Thanks, though.

Hanging can also be caused by a huge backlog of unaccepted transactions (if
you've enabled online banking in Money)
Reference Method 3 in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942485

Default Remove All Bill Data - Standard practice?

When I first upgraded to Money Plus, I was having performance issues.
Nuking the bills to eliminate the multiple schemas that had built up since
Money 1.0 seemed reasonable, so I performed the operation and rebuilt them.

However, here I am, 4-5 months later, unable to balance my primary checking
account without having Money hang and need to be killed twice during the
process. I can't enter transactions that match scheduled bills without
having Money hang and need to be killed.

So, I nuked the bills again and started over with rebuilding them. Problem
solved.

Rather than cleaning up the crumbs left behind over a decade of use, it
appears the Remove All Bill Data feature was implemented because it was
easier than finding the bug that causes the corruption in the Money Plus
bill data...

I can handle upgrading without significant feature changes from year to
year, but adding a new source of program lockups as the biggest difference
from 2007 isn't something I was expecting to pay for.
