Use an income category such as "Clothing Credits" to track returns.

To show negative expenses in a report such as "Transactions by
category", when you customize, make sure the Details tab chooses
AllTypes, rather than Payments.

Default Income categorized as Expense

Hi -

I know in MS Money 2007 you can categorize income to an expense category.
An example would be if you spent $50 on clothes then returned an item, the
$25 credit could be applied to clothing expenses.

My problem is that when I do this, the Income vs. Spending report simply
ignores this income. The Income totals are not increased and the Expense
totals are not decreased.

Any suggestions?
