Are you saying that the first computer with Money 2005 is having the> "Money will update your file with the latest improvements." problem? Could it be that you did not copy the file from the old computer to the flash drive, but cut and pasted instead? - quote - > "First, Money will make a copy of your original file: > C:\Documents & Settings\Joe\My Documentsmy portfolio.mny" > When I click NEXT I receive a message that the file does not exist !!!!! & > I cannot > access the Program !!!!! > Need some serious HELP !!!!! > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, JOEY wrote: > > > > Original install was 2005 on One Computer & now Installed 2007 on another > > > Computer. > > > Want to Import files from 2005 to 2007 !!!!.....One Computer to another... > > > You would want to File-> Open your *.mny file from the first > > computer. > > If these do not work for you, what is the actual error message. > > > > > > Backup files in 2005 are .mbf ( on CD & Flash Drive ) & 2007 will not accept > > > them !!!! > > > You could File-> Restore with a *.mbf backup file. If these do not work for you, what is the actual error message. - quote - > Backup files in 2005 are .mbf ( on CD & Flash Drive ) & 2007 will not accept
You could File-> Restore with a *.mbf backup file. Do not accept the> them !!!! default location but Browse to put the Money file in a place such as your Documents folder. - quote - > What are .qif files ????

| The file you want is the .mny one not the backup files. Just copy that to the new PC and double click on the .mny file in it's new location. When you say "Won't accept" what exactly do you get in the way of error messages? Also what version of Windows? -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for.
