| I just checked my system, and the mouse is scrolling correctly, although I could have sworn that this wasn't always the case. Perhaps I was having problems with last year's version of Money? and it was fixed with this year's version? I suppose I can uninstall the IntelliPoint software and use the suggested app FlyWheel, but I would rather not install a third-party solution to use my Microsoft Hardware to control Microsoft Software via a Microsoft Operating System. If I recall correctly, when Intellipoint was not installed, the account register was scrollable. However, it was very slow scrolling as if it were not adhering to the parameters for scroll speed/ acceleration set in the control panel applet. Cal, could you install the latest Intellipoint software and see if you are still able to scroll the register? Also, the OP and I are both using the same Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer v2.0, not a wired optical version. If anyone has Intellipoint driving their mouse on Vista and is using Microsoft Money 2007 or Money Plus without any scrolling issues in the account register, please let me know. Thanks, Marc |

I did not provide drivers or install anything for the mouse, so I am using a default driver. The wheel scrolls the register up and down in Money Plus. |

| Chris, I believe that you are wrong here. Every application (including Money) has some hook into the mouse driver (or visa versa). It's very possible that a mouse works with lots of applications but not with Money. To the original poster: I would recommend that you make sure that you have the latest driver for your mouse. Go to the intellimouse website to download it. If this does not work you could try a third party application. Flywheel works very well in XP with applications that have lost the scrolling ability in a new OS. Perhaps it would work in VISTA as well. It is abandonware, so if you follow this link you can get the download and free registration information. http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,11...s/article.html -- Peace, BobJ "Chris Cowles" <spam_magnet[at]remove-me-bellsouth.net> wrote in message news:epXJjxyVIHA.4440[at]TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... - quote - > "david" <hommesolitaire[at]gmail.com> wrote in message > news:F7FCA117-2F5D-43A1-AAB8-1524BD54DD1D[at]microsoft.com... > > I want to add that I am using the Microsoft wireless intellimouse explorer > > 2.0 > I don't think your mouse affects the problem. All other scrollable elements seem to work O.K., but in the account register, when you give focus by selecting a transaction, the ability to scroll is lost completely. This is very annoying and inexcusable. I am guessing it has something to do with the mouse driver included with Intellipoint 6.2 software though I did note prior to installing this that scrolling in the account register in Money 2007 was broken or very very limited. That means you have to click somewhere in it. As another respondent wrote, hover doesn't work. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

I'd start by using Internet Explorer to get rid of all temporary files. There's no reason that this should work, but it's easy to do, and lots of strange problems seem to be related to the cache. Then I'd look at the mouse drivers. The easiest thing to do is to delete the mouse in the Device Manager (opting to delete the driver files if asked), then let Windows discover and reinstall the default driver. Finally, run Microsoft Update to get any updates. Try these easy steps, then we'll see what to do next. (Gee -- this is fun. I haven't done this since I ran the helpdesk at Brinks Armored Car.) -- Steve B. New Life Home Improvement |

| I use windows vista 32bit. Microsoft Money Plus deluxe. Installed it as administrator. Everything seems to work fine except that when I am in the account register the mouse scroll wheel does not work at all. It works okay in other parts of Money. Just not in the register. It is a real pain to move throught the transactions using the scroll bars. I want to switch to Money from Quicken becasue it would only scroll up and not down. But that would be preferrable to not scrolling at all! Please, someone tell what adjustment to make or what I can do to fix this. |
