| I went from Money 2006 to Plus Deluxe and my loading time went from about 15 seconds to 15 mnutes. I did the nuke the bills operation and with my same home page content, the loading time went down to 20 seconds. Not clear why nuke the bills would fix this, but in my case it sure did. Just make sure you run a scheduled bill report and note the splits before you exercise the option. Cals suggestions did help, but I needed the data on the home page. I would first go to Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings and set the (GeneralDisplay StartMoneyWithThisPageOpen:Accoun tListThat should speed up your starting. Check to see if you have a bunch of unaccepted transactions, and accept them. If the slowness then remains, go to Tools-> Settings-> HomePageDisplayOptions and Remove the BillsAndDeposits and SpendingTracker modules. If you still have a problem when you go to the "home" page, remove all modules. If the problem goes away, you can add things back until the crash does not happen. Add back in the other things you want on the home page. Let us know which was the problem module. |

| Upgraded from deluxe 2007 to deluxe 2008 (Money Plus Deluxe). Same file now takes 10-15 minutes to load, and that is if it loads at all. Maxes out both CPUs and freezes up sometimes. Have done both quick and standard repair with "no errors". File size increased by 20 MB after repair. Running on Vista Ultimate x32. Right now I can't use the upgrade in the present state. Fist time in eleven years I've had a "real difficult" problem using Money. Any suggestions? What changed behind the scenes to cause this? |
