| Yes. Since trending or budgeting work income or expense, I suppose this is a must here. I have mine set for either an average amount that I suspect to be high or I set them to be the average of the last 12. Neither is perfect given the fluctuation in spending on the card from month to month. | IF you are showing cashflow for both accounts combined, no , it will not show up--because it offsets to 0. IF, OTOH, you are just looking at cash flow for the cash account(s) it should show up. This is probably the better way to manage to cashflow. Is it supposed to? included as a budget account, allocate your categories to that credit card. Do that on the category details page. Schedule an estimated monthly Credit Card Payment from checking (or wherever) using the special category. Look at the CFF for the credit card account alone. Include budget items in the cash flow. Edit the scheduled credit card payment transaction until the average credit card balance is approximately flat over time. (It will never be zero.) Now change the CFF to reflect the checking account from which the credit card originates. The effect of the scheduled credit card payment will be reflected in the checking account CFF. The above is what I do, and my CFF fairly accurately represents reality. Large bills like my mortgage do come out of checking and are scheduled. I pay few expenses out of my checking, preferring to do that from the credit card account. The only budget category that appears in my checking CFF is utilities, for which the utility company will not permit automatic payment by credit card. I didn't schedule a payment for that to avoid duplicating the budget estimated amounts, and other scheduled payments in checking don't, either. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

Is it supposed to? The transactions inside your credit card account are what should show up in the cash flow forcast. Some people just record their credit card payments as a single expense transaction and don't have an actual CC account, but those people don't get useful data from reports. It's the equivalent of writing "bought some stuff" in the memo field on a check. -- Steve B. New Life Home Improvement |

| I use my CC to track most of my spending and pay off the bill each month when it comes, using a transfer from my checking to the CC. Money downloads it as "internet payment" and it jives with the transfer that I made from my checking account. However, it doesn't appear in my cash flow forecast, either as a trended item or an approximate one. Is it supposed to? TIA |
