| Many of us don't view this as a deficiency. Money needs its own CD burning engine like a guy needs a pigeon. You say "it is supported by MS OSes." Name any that predate XP that support it at the OS level. And note that XP does not writable optical disks (with the exception of some DVD-RAMs as I understand) as general read/write file systems. When Mt. Rainier technology gets into the OS and into our burners, this will all change. | Bob As an MVP, please lobby MS to fix this deficiency in Backup functionality . I guess my file is smallish. But its backup is 4Mb. So I suspect nobody can backup to floppy disk. CDR/CDRW is not a new technology. It is suppoirted by MS OSes. Please let us know how you go. Ta, - quote - > -----Original Message----- > You can't do it directly. | You can't do it directly. You need to backup to hard disk and then burn the CD from there. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money Hints/Tips http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny UK Wishes/Suggestions mnyukwsh[at]microsoft.com "Steve P" <Steve25261[at]comcast.net> wrote in message news:l10smv4rh0114i4g78udpvmuv2t7gt57cb[at]4ax.com... - quote - > I'm assuming he's referring to his CD-R. | I'm assuming he's referring to his CD-R. That's my question -- how do I backup Money 2003 to CD? The drop-down in the backup only offers my floppy drive. Also, do you know how I can add the new symbol for the Toronto Stock Exchange (I think it's TSX) to my Portfolio watch list. It's not listed under markets Thanks On Sun, 21 Sep 2003 19:00:21 +0100, "Bob Peel, MVP" <Bob_Peel[at]kiandra.freeserve.co.uk> wrote: - quote - > We need to know what the D drive is on your system. | We need to know what the D drive is on your system. | Money can backup to disk or Floppy/removable devices recognized as full-service file systems by your operating system. We can have no clue what D: represents on your system. <jdpaten[at]starband.net> wrote in message news:01be01c38065$07b46160$a301280a[at]phx.gbl... - quote - > Does anyone know if I can use the D drive for back up? > Thanks.
