| Thanks for your message . Having browsed the 'online' section of the www.good web guide.co.uk it seems that my bank are limited to the services they offer. So ... The 'Nationwide' offer more - is it going to be realtime though ? I am prepared to move bank to get what i want . I'm not asking for much just some .csv material pumped into my PC . The above web guide does say that my bank does offer download and having tried it I can confirm that through my internet banking portal I can download information from the last month . Not quite good enough though . I need to go back to the beginning of the last tax year , otherwise there will still be many hours of data entry for the six basic accounts. I could just run to the Nationwide to at least have 3 months of 'real data' safe in MSMoney , as the tax year has until March 31st You see the overriding problem is that I am a gardener by trade . This means that the cash just doesn't come in fast enough ....ever!! I really thought that having decided to use Money it would just happen . Some others offer web download of OFX or QIF statement files via web. The US version would be able to accept those. Note there is a microsoft.public.uk.money group, and the current UK Money version is 2005. |

| I need to use a software package for my accounts . On the surface Money should be the obvious answer . I hoped that with a few swift clicks in a wizard , MSMoney would download all of my statement info from my 'high street UK Bank' for the last 5 years and 'hey presto' !!?? Alas , the download is a US version (MoneyPlus08) and it doesn't have my Bank listed. Then , having spoke to my Bank they offered a raised brow to my plight and then .......fell back asleep claiming that no one had ever asked for the statements electronically before . Last quick point - am I being too demanding requiring live interaction between money and the bank or has it been in a previous version of money. Thanks all ..... Foxley |
